Mod install guide ?

I know it's probably a noob question but I've tried to find a guide to installing mods for assetto corsa but without any success...
If anyone can point me in the right direction with a link to a how to post or something similar I will appreciate it.
I'm running assetto corsa through steam so I'm hoping it won't make a difference for mod installation
