My system is an i5 2500k and 8GB DDR3 Ram on a P67A motherboard. The 6870 is a great card which I got at a very cheap price, even runs intensive games like BF3 very well but I wonder about the high resolution of triple screen with the 1GB Vram.
I already had one 580 in another machine - so I sold one 6970 for £200, bought the 580 for £300, and swapped the two other cars over.
I'm running a single 6970 @ 5760x1080 with a i5-2500k @ 4.8gHz and 8 gig 2200 mHz memory on a ASUS P8P67-Pro with ANTEC high current Gamer PS and run all sims at full graphics settings with no problems except rFactor 2 I have to dial back a few of the settings to get good framerates.i'm thinking of getting 3x24" (16:10 screens). I currently run a 27" (2560x1440 res) without any issues in the games i play, i get 60+ fps with 4xSS on in GTR Evo. I have one 6970 card. The current monitor pushes 3.6 million pixels, the new ones would be 6.9 million - I'm a little worried the 6970 won't drive these three screens...
Anyone done this and got ok results? Alex, i know you had issues with your 6970's but god knows what was causing that :S
I have a feeling if i disable super sampling i'll be fine, but i'll hate those damn jaggies everywhere if i have to...
