Mounting DD1 on P1X

I'm about to mount my DD1 to a P1X as part of a complete build.

Do you think it's better/easier to attach the mount to the wheelbase first and attach the whole assembly to the uprights, like Barry's podium mount video.

Or Attach the mounts to the uprights first and slide the wheelbase in and secure.

Both ways would probably work, not sure if one way is advised as easier or better for proper alignment.

I don't think there's a right or wrong way. Just whatever works given your space and number of hands.

I had a wheel deck to start with - so sitting the DD1 onto it and bolting from underneath was a doddle.

I've since fitted the SimLab DD1 mounts - which was much more tricky, and I had to have a couple of tries with different approaches. I assembled the arms onto the DD1 first, which didn't work too well as my uprights are also holding the screen above.

Next arms went in and then the DD1 separately which is the way that worked for me.
