Welcome to the RD Racing Club.

This week we go to the city of cities: Rome! Vallelunga is Kunos' home track and that's where we will race. Like the Deutschlandring, it has three different sectors: a full throttle section, a fast corner sector and a slow corner/hairpin section.

Minor changes are: slightly more variable grip (92%-100%) and a longer race time (45 minutes).

So join us for another exciting race and:

Sign up here:

Especially the new and inexperienced drivers are recommended to participate. There are a lot of learning opportunities like overtaking and blue flag situations but without the intensity and stress of the GT3/4 cars or the endurance multiclass cars. It's also good step up for those kind of events.

THE GT3/GT4 EVENT ON SUNDAY WILL ALSO TAKE PLACE HERE ON THIS TRACK!
By joining here you can learn the racelines, overtake spots and even the brakepoints of the track in a car that's less demanding than the GT3/GT4 and have a lot of fun at the same time.

Server information:
  • Practice Server: #04 (Available throughout the race week)
  • Race server: S.GP
  • 20:00 CEST, 19:00 BST (19:00 UTC) | 1 hour 15 minutes - Official Practice
  • 21:20 CEST, 20:20 BST (20:20 UTC) | 20 minutes - Qualification (10 min TT, 10 min MX5)
  • 21:40 CEST, 20:40 BST (20:40 UTC) | 45 minutes - Race
IMPORTANT:
  • Qualify is split (not forced, gentleman's agreement). First 10min for the Audi's, second 10min for the MAZDA's. Don't go on track in the window of the other car class.
  • Blue Flags: If an MX5 driver gets a Blue Flag from an Audi, he has to stay on the racing line to be predictable. You can help the Audi by lifting on a straight, but you don't have to! The Audi driver is responsible for a safe overtake. Losing time doing this is part of the game and applies to any Audi. If you receive a blue flag from your own class, the normal rules apply.

Event details:
  • Cars: Audi TT Cup/Mazda MX5 Cup
  • Track: Vallelunga, Italy
  • Pit stop: optional
  • Track Temps: 28C air/38C track
  • Track Condition: Clear
  • Track grip: starting 92% increasing to 100% after 20 minutes approximately
  • Damage: 10%

A message to all Drivers,

If you run off track, you have to check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.

When entering the track from the pits, stay off the racing line until you are up to speed. Do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by. On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in Discord. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium

Registered , it will be my first AC premium race here on RD , glad to be in.
A little question : is it mandatory to join the 1hr 15min practice session at 19.00 utc sharp or , as it happens in other sgp events, one can join at any time during said practice ?

Hi Giulio,

You're very welcome!
No, attending the practice or qualify session isn't mandatory.
There's a seperate practice server available throughout the week with the race configuration so you can practice anytime.

As you are new in our multiclass event, please read the 1st and 2nd post very carefully, especially the Golden Rule, the blue flag and the qualification parts.

See you on track!

Thank you very much , I've just read those pages , clear infos:thumbsup: looking forward to the race

Oh man,

the guy who oversaw the construktion of Vallelunga must have been seriously drunk or completely inept when using the level.:O_o:

There are some funny things going on with the track´s camber .

( And still the A ctual I diots are way faster than me.)

Another day to try to get better

MFG Carsten

Oh noes Allan! :( On the other hand, that's a chance for a podium on this race, ha! :D

It's going to be a tad late arrival on track for me tonight, maybe even tight for Qualy.
In such case I won't mind starting from the back, but I'm not planning to stay there... :coffee:

First of all sorry to @Casper de Wit for misjudging the overtake in T1 (and subsequent chaos with @Erik Axelsson), that's my bad. :coffee:

Sounds like an unlucky race both at the front of the Audi and Mazda fields. First I got a VR freeze just before T1 which meant Marko got ahead of me, then just as I was getting back towards him, Marko timed out. That really sucks, was looking forward to the battle. And then Axel's engine blew up in MX5! Chaos.

Fairly consistent race for me other than that weird VR freeze, so reasonably happy. Not how I wanted to get P1, but I'll take it. Thanks @Erik Axelsson for the great battles as well!

Thanks for organising Han!

Gratz Chris, amazing pace as always

Yeah, that was unlucky but I don't think it mattered for the end result ;)

Thanks for organizing @HF2000 ! Any thoughts of next weeks track?
