Multiple drivers same name how do you fix

hi all just wanted to know if there was a solution to the issue in both single and multiplayer for multiple versions of the same ai driver. Example A Smith is listed three times (same car). I only want one driver so that my grid is correct. Is there some kind of filter that can be applied in the .veh to ensure the ai driver is only listed once?

Also multiplayer doesn’t seem to allow booting of ai drivers and car setup can be voted.

Any help would be appreciated.

You probably made the "Number of AI" high for another class that has more unique vehicles. I.e. if you used the V8's and set it to 33 A.I. or whatever the max is, and you go back to F Extreme, you will have 13 "duplicates", assuming there are 20 unique vehicles.

So, lower the number of opponents to say 10, and then increase it until it stops by itself. That should do it.

Cool thanks for the prompt reply. Pretty sure I selected 25 (for v8s) but there was multiple of the same driver like 3 x Scott Pye and other drivers didn’t get a look in because of multiple duplicates?

I’ll give it another try.

What mod is this? The default V8 mod does not contain his name. I tried it with the default one in-game, but there were no duplicates.

So I'm guessing it's a problem with the mod. If you can link it, I can perhaps see if I can find something.

Think you are running the latest V8 mod with skins from r n r. They have multiple skins for the same driver as the liveries change from track to track. It does cause issues with multiple names, so I just remove or rename the rounds I don't want. Usually run Bathurst or most recent rounds.

Thanks mate that was the issue. Now to solve my blurred Dunlop tyre issue.

The cool thing is if you drop the number of opponents to less than the max then raise it back up, the game will automtically stop the number at the maximum for that series so you get no duplicates.

Eg. Say you were playing a series that has 26 different cars and had AI opponents set to 25. You then change series to a series that only has 15 cars. What you do then is just drop the number of opponents to 8 or 9 then raise it back up and it will automatically stop at 15. You now have the max opponents without duplicates. Quick and easy :)
