My .PLR file just seems to contain binary data, is this normal?

Hi - I was wanting to edit my .PLR file to try out others FFB settings etc., but mine just seems to contain binary data - is this normal and can I just overwrite this? e.g.

I've now sorted this out, I was opening the .PLR file in Sublime Text rather than Notepad, when I open the file in Notepad it looks fine...

Sounds like Sublime was interpreting the extension as a certain kind of file.
