Amistech have released the highly anticipated My Summer Car game on Steam Early Access, at long last giving players the chance to try their hand at building their ideal driving machine deep in 1990's Finland.
Billed as the "ultimate car owning, building, fixing, tuning, maintenance AND permadeath life survival simulator" My Summer Car is one unique take on the open world driving and lifestyle simulation genre. Designed with an emphasis on fun and quirky gameplay features, you immediately find yourself in the middle of a 1990's Finnish summer as you attempt to build your own car from scratch and engage in a selection of Finnish summer activities ("doing stupid things under influence of alcohol"), whilst earning money to upgrade your car with random jobs found throughout the game.
Several vehicles within the game world are available to drive, including of course the car you have to build using the tools and parts available in your garage and through mail order agencies. Not only do you have to maintain your car, you also have to maintain yourself with regular sleep, food and even beer and a sauna!
