For my first livery I present a Simple Team Lotus livery. This Livery is for a team of which would be entered into the 2020 season by Lotus car company and it's now parent company Geely. Not GENII (2012-2015).
This livery is heavily inspired by the JPS style cars in the Colin Chapman era.
The livery Includes decals from:
-Geely and Geely Owned brands (Volvo, smartcar,CRGT)...

now, when I load this, it will not affect my current My team car will it? or, can I start a new MT and use it on that car without using it for my current one?

Yes you can create a new save

I have tried the copy and paste folder, and it doesn't seem to work. when I go in game Lotus is not in there. nor is the livery. now the game did update to version 1.05.
