Hi guys, I avoided playing Wreckfest for years because I couldn't handle the weird FFB. Also all the available FFB mods felt kind of wrong in my opinion.
It felt like some artifical force was constantly trying to get the steering wheel to the center position. But not based on real forces or weight trasfer of the car.
I'm taking a completely different approach with my mod. I have completely disabled all artificial centering forces and all forces are completely based on weight trasfer and gyroscopic forces instead.
In my opinion, it now feels very smooth and realistic, you can hold the car perfectly in drift. Countersteering and weight transfers feels very natural.
I have a Thrustmaster T500RS steering wheel, but the mod should also feel good with similarly sized steering wheels.
For best results, set your steering wheel to 540° and use between 65% - 100% FFB and fully linear steering in-game. It doesn't clip, even at 100% on my setup. I've uploaded some pictures to show my settings.
