Need help with career

Downloaded a mod to play the DTM Championship in career mode. However I cannot start it. If I klick the 'Start engine'-button it starts the boring Assetto Corsa career instead... Do I have to complete all parts of the original career before a can play a modded one or is there some other problem here?

You'll need to select the dtm series in the career list and then press start to initiate it.

It appears in the list but is grayed out?

Maybe it needs to be unlocked first, idk how was created. But you should be able to unlock it for yourself in career.ini file Documents\Assetto Corsa\launcherdata\filestore then add to Complete= section the name as it is on the folder where you installed of the series, for example series2, so check in the folder where dtm champ. is installed.
