New Graphics Card, what should I get??

Hey everyone.
I have decided to go buy myself a new grahics card for my racing PC. Though I have no idea what I should get. What I need is something that can handle games with high quality graphics without lagging, but at the same time not all to expensive.

hm, i'll follow the advices too, i had some freezes recently and want to get rid of my Nvidia-card and change to ATI

nVidia 580 and ATi 69xx should be released this month, these are the cards I have been waiting for, if you're not wanting this top end kit then I would still wait and see what happens to prices of previous gen stuff.

Ati (end of the month?) and Nvidia (9th of november ?) will release their new top of the line cards in this month like Eyghon said. Rumors are that they will cost over 400 euros so they are quite expensive cards. With current information I would consider Ati 6850/6870 or Nvidia GTX 460 If your budget is 150-220€.

Anyhow Its a good idea to wait for the new cards to reviewed before buying a new card.

Before anyone recommends anything, what are all of you current PC specs? There is no sense in upgrading if you are not going to see a performance boost.
