New Monitor what Resolution?

I just bought a new monitor and its capable of 3440 x 1440, but the most I can get the game resolution is 2560 x 1080 @ 60hz aspec ration 21:9
Any ideas how I can get it to 3440 x 1440? my other games run @ 3440 x 1440 ie project cars etc
