New Nvidia drivers 441.87 VR disconnects

Just tried the new nvidia drivers 441.87 and getting VR (Rift CV1) disconnects after about 15 seconds of game play.
Tried both AC and ACC.
Anyone else having the same issues?

I've had some frame pacing / timing and GPU load inconsistencies since the install but I think there are other things at play here as well. I've DDU uninstalled the driver and installed clean (which I did not do previously) and also deleted all system and document folders relating to SteamVR and reinstalled that also. I'm about to go back and retest to confirm I do not need a system wipe. Something's up and I cannot stand the anomalies when driving in VR.
