F1 2010 New Nvidiia Drivers today 260.99 WHQL

Allegedly increases performance in F1 2010 in DX11, hopefully when the patch is released soon the drivers will give us much better performance.

Lets hope they improve DX9 performance also, shall report back when Ive played a few laps.

Well, the drivers arent too bad, theyre certainly not worse and I like the way the new 260* driver setup allows a clean install instead of having to go through the palava of manually uninstalling your old ones and doing a driver sweep

Performance wise Im noticing 5-10 fps improvements on a few of my games but niothing noticeable on F1 2010 DX9, perhaps 1 or 2fps but thats better than a loss.

Can i ask what your previous driver was i am on the 11.9745 one (somewhere in april) and i most say i hardly get over 20fps on most tracks and that is in windowed mode :[

My current System is:

Win 7 Ult x64
Asus M2N68-AM Plus
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ 2.60Ghz (OC to 2.85GHz)
4GB DDR2 800MHz
GeForce 9800GT 1GB

Windows Experience Index is recommended 5.9 for F1 2010 and my score is 5.9 due to the lowest score from Hard Drive, Graphics get a 6.8, Ram a 6.9 and Processor gets a 6.0 so more than the recommended settings...but then gain WEI isnt a really accurate scoring system LOL

Last drivers I used were 260.89. Hurricane, to be honest if you just upgraded a level or 2 on all fronts youll see a great improvement, also if you get the opportunity go for a 64 bit environment and OS. I always found games struggling with fps on 32bit.

Im currently only seeing on average 25-30fps on High settings in F1 2010 with things like cloth, trees, crowd set to medium, the only thing I have on Ultra is the cars. Those fps are doing me just fine, it would be nice to get more. Thinking of spending another £100-150 on a new Gfx card, perhaps the GTX 460.

The games Im also playing that Ive noticed increase in are Mafia II (but thats due to the Physx fix) and also Fallout New Vegas (again another D3D9 fix), older games I play such as GTA IV I saw no improvement LOL didnt expect any from that game

Strange you getting same fps on low as Ultra, is there some kind of fps cap on the game?

Not a problem really as 60fps is more than pleasing to the human eye.

There are lots of people with the same problem and lots of players with a better cards and only have 35fps on ultra or low.
