Automobilista 2 V1.1.4.5 RELEASED

Automobilista 2 has been updated to v1.1.4.5 - this is a complementary update to our mid-April release, introducing another batch of fixes & improvements.

The build also introduces the option for G923 to disable Trueforce and run AMS2 with Legacy Logitech support in case you have issues with the new tech - just follow these instructions:

  • Added Game launch command line switch "disableTF" for users with issues running Logitech G923 TrueForce to fallback to legacy mode

  • Fixed onboard roll bars and brake bias both showing brake bias value on vehicle browser

  • Reduced minimal AI Strentgh range (results in slightly slower AI in the 70-99% range)
  • Adjusted AI Grip multipliers in Donington, Bathurst

  • Silverstone: Added outer terrain to all track detail levels; fixed unsafe pit exit error in modern layout

Even with the corrections in this update the power and torque numbers for the regular F-Trainer display as being more than the F-Trainer Advanced which I presume is backwards from what it should be.

I don’t why these ongoing issues with the displayed vehicle info irk me as much as they do because I know it's basically just a cosmetic thing. It really makes you wonder though how convoluted some portions of the Madness Engine must be under the hood when just getting the right text in the right place remains an issue after more than a year of development.

From what I understand, there is not a single source for this data: the physics engine use its own values while there is a different set of values for purely display. Hence the double effort and discrepancies. But yes, it would be great if Reiza could fix them all for good, or change the system so there is a single source of truth. I suppose it's not that simple and there are already so many things to work on.
