Sector3 Studios have released a few more teaser images of the upcoming Volvo S60 Polestar TC1 machine from the 2016 World Touring Car Championship - due to appear in RaceRoom Racing Experience this year as part of the newly updated WTCC 2016 car pack.
The Volvo brand as a whole has a rather bizarre cult status amongst racing fans, with many 'neutral' fans following the Swedish marque throughout its many motorsport activities. Perhaps as a leftover from the early British Touring Car days fielding the venerable 850 estate, or maybe due to the lively appearance of more recent models and a status of somewhat the underdog in racing circles, it is in no doubt that the inclusion on the S60 Polestar TC1 due to be added to the WTCC 2016 pack is a very welcome move by Sector3, and the car should prove very popular amongst fans of the sim.
The version due to be released for RaceRoom Racing Experience is the same car as piloted by Fredrik Ekblom, Thed Bjork, Robert Dahlgren and Nestor Girolami during the 2016 season as it went up against opposition from Honda, Citroen, Chevrolet and Lada on route to securing victory in Japan and tenth overall in the drivers championship for Bjork.
No definite release date for the S60 or WTCC 2016 pack has been revealed, however judging from the recent shots the car looks to be in an advanced state of development already so one could reasonable expect to see a release in the next couple of months.
