No horizon converting rFactor to GTR2

In converting one of my 1st simple BTB rFactor tracks to GTR2 using racerm's tutorial - successful in every respect EXCEPT there is no horizon visible in the GTR2 version. Only sky. Big black hole beneath. Lower edge of sky visible from track.

Any ideas what I may have done wrong please?

One more thing - ai works well in GTR2 during actual race but in practise they all go at half speed - !????

as it's your first simple track, i recommend just using the default GTR2 sky, just copy the skybox related TRK entries from a GTR2 standard track and paste them in your TRK overwriting your existing ones (making sure you add the necessary SEARCHPATH for the GTR2 skybox GMT's & textures)
