Non-Helmet drivers - Because yeap

Hi mates.
I bring you a set of driver faces textures for the non-helmet driver model.

I tried to be as diverse as possible. I apologize in advance for the "politically incorrect cultural labeling".
Don't know the credits for the main texture I based this mod on ("euro", originally "driver_no_helmet"). Whoever you are, don't hesitate to contact me so I can give proper credit.

QUICK INSTALLATION GUIDE

1) Files go into content\driver

Hi! Thank you for this nice mod. I couldn't remove the helmet driver, but the gloves and clothes did change.

What I did:
1 - Extracted the kn5 files into Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\driver
2 - Extracted the data.acd file to the data folder inside Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\THE_CAR_THAT_I_WANT_TO_CHANGE\

3 - Edited the filedriver3d.ini from this:
**************************************************************************************
[MODEL]
NAME=driver_no_HANS
POSITION=0, 0, 0

[STEER_ANIMATION]
NAME=steer.ksanim
NAME=driver_euro4
LOCK=300

[SHIFT_ANIMATION]
BLEND_TIME=50
POSITIVE_TIME=260
STATIC_TIME=50
NEGATIVE_TIME=260
PRELOAD_RPM=7500
INVERT_SHIFTING_HANDS=0

[HIDE_OBJECT_1]
NAME=DRIVER:GEO_Driver_FACE
NAME=driver_euro4

[HIDE_OBJECT_0]
NAME=DRIVER:HELMET

**************************************************************************************
To this:
**************************************************************************************
[MODEL]
NAME=driver_euro
POSITION=0, 0, 0

[STEER_ANIMATION]
NAME=steer.ksanim
NAME=driver_euro4
LOCK=300

[SHIFT_ANIMATION]
BLEND_TIME=50
POSITIVE_TIME=260
STATIC_TIME=50
NEGATIVE_TIME=260
PRELOAD_RPM=7500
INVERT_SHIFTING_HANDS=0

[HIDE_OBJECT_1]
NAME=DRIVER:GEO_Driver_FACE
NAME=driver_euro4

[HIDE_OBJECT_0]
NAME=DRIVER:HELMET

**************************************************************************************
4 - Created a file called skin.ini inside Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\THE_CAR_THAT_I_WANT_TO_CHANGE\skins\red with this:

[driver_euro]
SUIT=\plain\black
GLOVES=\classicpastel\black

5 - In Content Manager, went to showroom, choose the car and the color red. Then activated the driver, the clothes and gloves turn into black, the the helmet is in the drivers head.

What did I miss? Also, where do I get the paramets that used inside the skin.ini?

Thank you and sorry for my ignorance.
Cheer!

Well, thank you for the feedback. Really appreciatted! :thumbsup:
I found what problem was. I didn't deleted the data.acd file. So, it was still using the data.acd file instead of the uncompressed files from the data folder.
Cheers!

Fantastic!! Thank you so much for this! I often wonder why so many YouTube AC videos featuring street cars don't bother to use a Driver_No_Helmet. No excuses now.

Am I stupid?
Never changed anything like that before but I don't get the 2 step
"Unpack the data.acd for the car you want to assign this model to. Most mods have this file already unpacked into a "data" folder. "
I know some cars have this file in their root, but how can I unpack the data file?

Edit: Ok, you need an extra tool for that, I got it!
Ty anyway!

Hi mate. You need Content Manager to unpack data.
Once CM unpacks data.acd into a "data" folder, go to the root folder of the car and delete data.acd, otherwise the game will use that file to get the car values.
Hope that helped!

Hey guys, first of all: the non-helmet and casual clothing mod are amazing!

My issue is that when I change values regarding to the manuals, the driver looks ingame different than in CM showroom. see attachment below.

1) jacket is not the dark version
2) head is dark (lighting issue?)

car: 1M BMW (but other ones as well)

driver3d.ini:
[MODEL]
NAME=driver_euro

skin.ini:
[driver_euro]
SUIT=\Driver\Brown_dark
GLOVES=\Leather\BMW

I followed all of these steps to remove the racing helmet from Batman's head in the 66 Batmobile mod, but it's still there. I don't really know what else to do here, I've confirmed that the alternate head skins are in the main driver folder, and that the driver3d ini points to a skin in that folder, but there he is wearing a helmet like an idiot. There's another thread on here about it, so it's a known issue. What else can I try?
