It's thicker making it close to the camera lens resulting in the wrong size perspective.

That's not the 3080 though its the 3090.

Personally I think the 3080 is going to be a far more sensible and interesting card by comparison in terms of a price and performance upgrade over the 2080ti especially if it's $400 cheaper as well as being 40% faster if that's true.
 
Waiting for more of the specs, especially compute features. My gaming card does molecular modeling as a second job.

For the same reason I will probably skip the "TI" this time around. Don't need memory bandwidth outside gaming.
