Oculus Rift with OpenVR?

Hello again sim-racers , i would like to ask if i can use OpenVr with Oculus Rift due to the IPD app settings, so i can correct world scaling.I have checked my phisical IPD ,and applyed it at Oculus home but on all sims which i play , i need to increase the world scale even if i mach the in game IPD with my oculus IPD(phisical).Another thing is if there is an .ini file(or other) where i can change convergence % would be a solution too. Thanks in advance

You can but I believe it reduces your performance, I forget what it is exactly but there's something that doesn't work quite right when you use OpenVR. If you just give it time your brain will adapt to it and you won't be bothered by any scaling issues. Plus, according to this, adjusting the IPD doesn't really change world scale on the Rift.

"The IPD distance not being accurate to your actual IPD can cause the world scale to be off, it depends on the person but physical adjustment of the lenses should be set and every VR game should honour this IPD and no `world scale` should be required.

With Rift, every games IPD is honoured by the Oculus Home settings- therefore every game world scale is correct (as long as the developer used real world measurements)."

Yes but there also is something that is negatively affected by using OVR, I forget specifically what it is but I was using OVR for a little while but ended up switching back to Oculus mode once I found it out. Sorry I can't be more specific.

If I remember correctly, and I may be wrong, I think it was Crepuscular Rays that don't work, and those have issues rendering correctly in VR anyway.

Cote Dazur , it can be fine for your brain adaptation....->IPD "You can make the objects bigger, but that is effectively just making your "eyes" closer together. The reason you can't focus on things when you are changing the IPD is because they are getting smaller and closer at the same time. It's true, changing the IPD does have the double effect of changing the positioning of things relative to you too, whereas a simple world scale wouldn't have that problem.

Another way to look at it is, changing the IPD is making you bigger/smaller, changing the world scale is making the world bigger/smaller. Which are equivalent, but the process itself is different and "feels" different when it is happening.".......

I was just being facetious, in PCars there is a world scale adjustment in VR. I don’t think it is necessary if the VR is well implemented and I believe it is well implemented in AC, but I could be wrong it as happened before.:D
