Patch Announcement by Codemasters

Hi all,

We're going to be using this sticky thread to keep you updated with regards the latest game patching status. We'll keep it updated whenever we get new information.


Patch 1 - During the game submission process for F1 2011 the team continued to work on the game, refining, polishing and tweaking and those updates were included in the patch released as follows:

PS3 Status - Released

Xbox 360 Status - Patch has now passed submission, we are now waiting for a confirmed release date.

PC Status - Patch has now passed submission, due for release at approx 10pm GMT on 4th Oct

Patch 2 - The Dev team and QA are currently investigating a number of issues reported by players and trying to reproduce these in a test environment.

I think it's already been stated that these are all "under the hood" changes, so won't actually alter gameplay. Might fix some crashes/performance issues however.

Yes, this is only an optimization patch. No gameplay fixes.

i doubt it, it's quite hard to improve the fps on lower spec systems.

Sometimes on the Track when machines run settings from medium-High in certian places it can lag or lower your fps abit... it has happened, maybe they have improved on this or the actual code, ofcourse the patch isn't changing anything to do with gameplay tho.

I hope not, I have no faith in GFWL. I want a standalone patch to use whenever I need to reinstall. I'm sure that's what it will be.

Thats what I hope aswell, but where do "we" dvd users get the patch from?

I'd imagine it will appear on here in no time, also on the official F1 2011 website.

No change list - it's lots of little tweaks (Safety Car Online, AI DRS use, Small Lap Time and Race Engineer tweaks etc.)
