Opinions wanted about pedal choice for diy pedals

I am going to diy a set of hydraulic pedals (using a pressure sensor and a DSD 12 bit board). I got the whole parts list together but am unsure what pedals to use for the brake and clutch. To keep costs down I would probably prefer a brake pedal with only a single master cylinder.

I found a wilwood pedal that fits my requirements, but I cannot decide on which pedal face I prefer. I have never used a pedal with grip tape. Would it make heel-toe ing difficult?

Hi,
regarding your throttle pedal: does it have a spring included? I belive it will need some work to attatch some kind of spring to it. Probably i'm wrong.

Later just replace the facia of the throttle pedal, and you have a nice 3 pedal set.

For the Throttle and cluch, just install a strong spring in the place of the master cylinder. Check some DIY handbrakes, some guys just replace the master cylinder with this spring solution.

For pedal face, consider whether you'll wear shoes or socks. Anything with grip tape will likely shred socks.

You can get several different stages of grip tape. I'd go for a very fine grit. If you are going for true to life levels of brake stiffness, a racing shoe, wrestling shoe or a shoe with a thin sole would definitely be better than socks for that application. You feet will thank you after a couple hours in the seat!
