Physics reworked for Toyota GT86 - Progressive steering feel and a mild street turbo-tuning

This time you get 3 more cars for the price of... 0 actually. Unlike Toyota, Subaru, Eibach, Crawford and Kunos I`m not asking for your money. Have them for free. Simple thanks wouldn`t hurt, tho.

As you see the numbers don`t lie. But the people who drive this car don`t do it for the numbers game. And as such, I`m not impressed with the lack of progressive increase in load on the steering and the general clipping of the FFB in the...

Interesting.. But.. CM show error relative tires [not any compound available] and GUID.txt in /sfx/ - not enough to have a car's sound)

No complains in my CM. cm 1.jpg
Are you sure to have renamed the sound banks and extracted the correct files -
from "ks_toyota_gt86_AB.7z" into "..\AssettoCorsa\content\cars\ks_toyota_gt86_AB\"
and "ks_toyota_gt86_AB_kit Eibach springs.7z" into "..\AssettoCorsa\content\cars\ks_toyota_gt86_AB_kit\" ?

You may try using "Car Tuner" for creating the copies. In "New Tune Name" put "AB" for the non-turbo and "AB_kit" for the turbo variants. Then in the respective folders extract the 7z as described before.

You just have no idea, how much actually knowing about AC cars modding ..:D
Check your /sfx/ - there no any sound .bank
Check your tires in data more patiencly. They were replaced by CM, but (mostly probably) not properly.

P.S. Car is tested (with AB kit). Feels interesting, but just not for me ..

Kind regards

My dear friends, in the 7z there are not supposed to be any *.bank files because you have them already. That`s why I asked in the description to rename the "ks_toyota_gt86.bank" to match the folders names.

Tyres are exactly as intended and what you see here is from install on another copy of AC and another CM on different OS and user. They work no matter where I try them.
Thanks for the beer! Goes well with my steak.

Is it possible to add more adjustability to the camber angles and ride height? I'm looking to be able to adjust the car to the alignment specs of my 86. I am running -3 camber up front, -2.25 in the back with the eibach pro kit springs and camber bolts. I'm new to AC, not sure if I should just mod the power band for the turbo/eibach kit you created?

To get those things you can edit the data of the car in "setup.ini" using
Code:

instead of the old one. If you don't have the unpacked "data.acd" use the attached file (rename it to "data.7z" open it and drop the "data" folder from it into the car's folder, then rename the old "data.acd" file to "data.acd1"). In the attached data I already edited the setup.ini per your request. Did you replace the stock dampers on your car and what rates (models) are your new dampers and springs on the lower setup?

If you want to match a certain dyno power curve with the one of the modeled car - edit "power.lut" and "engine.ini" using the help of this calculator for the data. It takes in the param's of the turbo from "engine.ini" and atmo curve from the .lut and draws the usable resulting curve that you can match by changing input data raw-by-raw. Then use the corrected rows in the "power.lut".

Hey, I was looking for a mod of the gt86 that can lower the car and play with spring/dampers, so I can replicate my real gt86 with coilovers

My I ask what are the reasons of the several changes in this "suspension.ini" from the original car? (I have 0 idea about moding, its not that I dont trust it, but Id love to know the explanation:)):
  • BASEY is different
  • CG front-rear is different
  • bump stop, packer.. are different
I made a try myself. From the original kunos gt86 I made these settings "adjustable" in setup.in:
  • spring rates
  • height
  • more alignment
WHY is this wrong and what I am missing? (I know its wrong because spring rate affect massively to the height of the car...) but what If I just want to keep all the rest the same?
