Please help to beginner in ACC

Hello boys and girls playing this cool game.
If anyone has tried the single career mode - give me some advice - how to save the game during a race?
I already know there is no way to save progress between sessions.
So I tried to save the game during the race but every time I checked the game save thread there are no saves at all.

You can save your progress during the race by calling up the menu with Escape. In career, you don't load your save under the tile "Saved game". You simply continue your existing career, and you will automatically be placed on the track where you saved your progress.

I'm not sure about the wording of the button, but yes, that sounds like the correct one.

You can save any single player race, I believe. That means you can race those 2-3 hour + races if you want to, just pause during the race and resume whenever you want.
