Still, as you can see in the 1st picture, I would rather merge those vertices to get proper continuous lighting on the body shell ...You can always later fake that seam in the diffuse texture map...probably you correctly unwrapped / layouted the UVs, so it's a quick fix...

Hi,
had a little bit of free time and does some laps for fun...here is a video i made from it...
It's to big to big for Vimeo so i put it in to my file server, beware, it's over 1,5Gb, but i don't want to reduce the quality...

The best is using Virtual Dub with H264 codec to get a good job done...There's a compression codec setting you can play with, from memory I use 21%...
