F1 2014 Problem playing multiplayer (online & offline)

A friend of mine cannot play multiplayer.
We tried LAN (connected our PCs) and online mode.
He can enter session but while track is loading (track video) he is kicked.
Custom race, co-op etc. always the same problem.
I'm not the only one he cannot play. He cannot drive any race in multiplayer.
If he enters a session where 10 guys are in, he is the only one who
is kicked.

Is there a wrong setting? We turned off firewalls and corrected all
settings in windows and modem and so on.
(Windows 7 64-Bit)

I don't know if your friend uses mods, but some mods will get you disconnected when the session starts.

Database mods (like edited drivers/teams), and tyre grip mods will do this. You are generally OK with any texture mods like cars skins, tyre textures, track textures etc.

You can join the lobby, but you are dropped the moment the race session starts.

Thx Graham. Good idea (I didn't think about it) but he doesn't use any mods.

Watching online also is not a problem for him. But he cannot drive himself in a multiplayer race.
Other players in the session see the in-game-message "PlayerName was kicked..." on screen-bottom.

Any other suggestions?

Not really, apart from verifying the game cache via Steam to ensure no files are corrupted.
