Problem: Race Cancelled in 64 bit

(Forcing the 32 bit game goes, but csp will not go).

I have been having this problem for 1 week but can't find a working solution.Until the day before everything was fine, but the next day, without adding new mods or anything, content manager gave me this problem. Thanks in advance.

Sadly I don't really see the error apart from the steam achievements synchronization failed.
How did you rename the standard "steamapps" folder into just "games"?

CSP auto-updates itself on default settings so my first thing to do would be to downgrade it to the "recommended" version instead of the newest.

I've already tried downgrading csp to one of the recommended versions but it doesn't change anything.
The strange thing is that until the night before everything was fine and without adding mods or anything the next day gave me this problem, but if I try to make it go 32 it goes (sorry for the bad english).

Go into the csp settings, "General" on the left side and uncheck the "active" or "activate" at the top of the right side.
This will disable csp completely so you can test if 64-bit is working fine without csp.

Are you running assetto via steam?
I don't know of any way to change the game folder to not be inside a "steamapps" folder so that might cause some issues?

I looked at you log and cannot find anything that helps.
It is more probably more Windows related than AC/CSP related.

Thanks for the reply, I have already asked in the csp forum but I did not get any useful help by attaching the csp log. Today I'll try again to ask for help by attaching the original launcher log as well as I did here..
Maybe being a windows problem, is it possible to know what the problem is?

I don't see any word about it so .... did you check the game's files integrity in Steam ? ... a single file missing or corrupted might be the reason for only working in 32bit and not 64bit.

Before trying to solve the problem in Content Manager ... be sure that it may work 64bit with the original launcher.

NB: if not solved that way, next step might be renaming your documents or saving them somewhere and deleting the existing ones so that you might start from a new base.... sometimes a little problem there also might be the source for game not starting.

Not so long ago, I had a problem with AC and the problem was the VCRedist .... so I had to download and reinstall all of them .... I will try to find the link for all of them in one single download.
I didn't try 32bit when it happened but the error message was too unprecise to know that the problem was there. A good guy at CM-CSP discord channel guided me to this solution and it worked.

Or maybe the error is that you didn't buy AC and the cracked version you have has some issues with CSP?
I politely asked without posting this straight forward but you dodged the question both times.

As fas as I know, all Steam games are always within a steamapps folder.

Only if you do something like soft - or hardlinking with advanced tools it's possible to put steam games into a different folder.
But even then the log should show the linked path into the steamapps folder (while windows then follows the link in that folder to the linked folder behind the scenes).

Can i ask, how to reinstall all of them? do i have to install them in the asseto corsa folder or something? im having the same problem too, cant run ac in 64-bit resulting in not able to use CSP

Had the same issue. I just restarted my PC and it went away.

Did you ever find a solution?

Edit: NVM, i just fixed my issue. For anyone having the issue, i tried uninstalling AC and Content manager. Deleted the folder from steamapps, documents, and app data. Reinstalled AC and tried starting a race. Still received the error. I went into add/remove programs and went down to the Microsoft Visual C++ programs. One by one i went through and clicked modify --> repair. All them went through very quickly until i got to 2015-2022 redistributable. That one took a couple minutes and then asked me to restart. After a restart, AC let me start a race.

I stumbled over another possibility for the "race canceled" annoyance.

Today my CM didn´t want to start a race though i yesterday had completed some League races.

The reason was a Szeam problem.

when booting my PC steam asked "who´s playing" which i ignored because i tend to do that with PC things if they bother me. Well, the punishment for that was "race canceled" on and offline.

After restart I selected my steam account and CM played ball ( ok, played race) again.
