Problem with dedicated server

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I've run into a problem running a dedicated server and AI. If I try to run a race with a couple of humans and some AI, the leaderboard is all wrong.

Example: Starting at the back of the grid (default car and track) with 19 AI and me. If I follow them around the track, by lap three it will show me somewhere around P15. After three laps or so it shows I've moved up to the top 10. By the end of a 20 lap race, I'll be scored somewhere between 1st and 3rd, while most of the AI are several laps down. All the while, I've been following them around the track in last place.

I've tested with two different dedicated servers installed on two different machines, one local and one remote, and with one or more humans. The results are the same. Single player works just fine.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts or ideas on a cause or solution?
