problems with Steam !

A friend of mine has a install problem with steam an runs windows 2000
Anybody know this problem ?

RACE 07 is designed for XP, dunno if it will run on 2000 tbh

race06 solution maybe they want also goes with 07 on w2k ?

Copying the Steam.dll and dbghelp.dll files from the root of my Steam folder ( X:\Programme\Steam ) and placing them in the race folder ( X:\Programme\Steam\SteamApps\steam-user-name\race ) allows me to start and play the game.

We did try to copy the .dll files but still the game crashes.
It wont even install the game in steamapps.
He will install XP ,must be the best solution.
