Cars Prototype: Purpose built virtual race car, the Falke Erlkönig

We are introducing the Falke Erlkönig to challenge the focus of today’s virtual motorsport. Most race simulations target to replicate real race cars as accurately as possible. This has two major drawbacks:
  1. Real race cars are not focused on being as rewarding as possible for the driver. Rather they follow commercial, safety and/or environmental considerations.
  2. Real race cars are unnecessarily hard to drive in race simulations because their vehicle dynamics design does not account for the missing physical feedback in race simulations (see deep dive below).
The Falke Erlkönig is an early prototype virtual race car, engineered for putting the driver in focus and to deliver an always rewarding racing experience. Join our Discord to help validate our hypothesis. For now we are using Assetto Corsa as a development and testing platform.

Just spent a couple of hours together with two of the guys from the team racing this car around Spa on their server.
The car was a ton of fun to drive, even at this early stage, and the guys where really open to feedback so it was great to be able to drive it and have good discussions on Discord about what was good and what could be improved upon.
I highly suggest you join the servers and contribute, if for nothing else it's a fun time driving the car! :D

Upcoming testing sessions

1) Tuesday, 29th of December, 8pm CET (first in a row of Tuesday night sessions)

2) Wednesday, 30th of December, 9pm CET

Download the PNN launcher to update the car and also for convenient race join in our discord community: https://discord.gg/8z9TgzBmRs

We welcome everyone willing to share his/her opinion on the actual status of the vehicle development with us. Or you join us simply for some quick and fun race action. Happy testing!
