PS4 controller setup

Hi everyone, I'm still shopping for a proper sim setup which means that I have to use my PS4 controller at the moment. I'm able to setup my accelerator, break and wheel. My issue is that I'm can't setup any other button which means that I have to us Auto shift, I looked online and I can't seem to find out why it won't let me assign button. I'm using Content Manager is that makes a difference. Any help with this issue would be really appreciated. Thanks

For who ever in encountering the same issue, I found a solution. I plugged in a 3rd party xbox controller, which let me map the buttons. Once I connected the PS4 controller everything worked fine. I'm guessing any PC controller would let you do this.

I’ve never had issues setting up my ps4 controller. Install ds4win and mask it as x360 controller in settings.

Yeah got those installed as well.
