Hi Everyone,
I am looking at re-building a rig after a sim racing hiatus of about 8 years now, and figured I'd set my sets on the Fanatec ecosystem this time. I have a couple of questions about a couple of their products, and was hoping some of you Fanatec owners would shed some light on them.
I am thinking of getting the McLaren GT3 CSL wheel with DD base (8nm kit) and Clubsport pedals, here are my questions:
* Why is the McLaren GT3 wheel part of the CSL range? Is it lacking anything that the podium/Clubsport ranges offer?
* Is a QR1 Quick-release adapter useful for a 8nm DD base? What incentives are there to adding it to the McLaren GT3 wheel? Also, Is it easy to remove the default release and add on the quick release?
* Does the Clubsport V3 pedal damper kit serve a different purpose to the brake performance kit/ would you need both to get the absolute max out of the Clubsport pedals? if they do the same thing, then surely the damper kit is the higher (albeit not necessary best) level option?
Thanks!
