Quick way of renaming car folders

Does any know if there is a program or another quick way of renaming the folders that the cars are stored in? Click, rename and the sfx folder is all sorted automatically....
I know to change the name of the .bank file, open the GUIDs file and change the references, then change the name of the folder to match. But it's a bit long winded when you've got hundreds of cars to rename.

Thank you.

There's not, because it's an extremely unusable concept - you can't do it to official content at all (the game will not load them anymore) and if you do it to mods you can't run them online.

You're not supposed to use the folder names to find cars in the first place, the launcher doesn't show it, it just uses ui_car.json information.

Thank you for answering, that's a shame but I guess it's the long route then unless there are any other solutions.

I know it's not ideal this is why I haven't done it before, however I have hit the critical 63GB limit in my race car folder to stop the program starting (or whatever the limit is, something along those lines). It now hangs at populating favourites....

I need to split my race car folder into two and the only way I have of keeping the race series together and in any sort of order is to arrange the folder names into series, then break the folder into two alphabetically. (also it's a mess and needs cleaning up)
I already run multiple cars folders, I just rename the folder I need to cars when I want to use it.

I've noticed that I can't change the official content folder names, and there's no GUIDs file in there to modify either. I would have to keep the official content as the exception.
I'm not worried about breaking things working online, there's about 60 miles of water between my home and the nearest internet connection so I am completely offline at home anyway. Only online in my spare time at work.

Have you tried using Content Manager? With that you shouldn't have issues starting no matter how big the folder is (as it basically just hands the ac.exe a file with the car/track/conditions combo you want to run)

Content manager all looks good until I hit go, then when I hit go it says "couldn't connect to steam" and then doesn't start.
Oh well, a good idea, shame I haven't got it to work yet...
As a work around for now I've split my race car folder into many small folders which I'll just swap around as I want to race in each group. I split my road cars and race cars into separate folders a long time ago to work around the loading problem.
