Race 2 (8th)

Starting from 10th I was able to get a great start. I was only able gain one position though, as they were going three wide through T1 up a head. I quickly latched on to the back of Phillip Antonia and followed him around for most of lap 1. I clearly had more pace through the twisty sections, but tried to keep back and settle into my rhythm, while waiting for him to make a mistake to capitalize on. The BMW certainly had me on power under acceleration and the up hill sections.

Coming on to the back straight Phillip made a mistake and ran it very wide, straight into the barrier. I thought this might be my chance and slipped to the inside of him. I too went onto the grass on corner exit, causing the rear end to kicked out. As Phillip rejoined the track, my spinning car was cutting back across the track and we made contact.

My car then slung around onto two wheels before it somehow slingshot back and into a roll. The car rolled two or three times before coming to a rest on all fours.

After losing a good 30 seconds or so, I finally managed to get going again all the way down in 12th with suspension damage and very much visually noticeable aero damage. :p

Once I got used to the cars new quirks I managed to claw back and pass Ollie, Bert and Dan Coldrick to finish in 8th place.

Overall I very much enjoyed both races, just wish we would have done 3 or 4 laps, as 2 laps were a bit short. Had many great battles and loads of fun though. :)

This should be a recurring event. These cars on this track = heaven.

Thanks for putting this on! :)

Eric,
I'm just gonna give a suggestion, ok.
I know it's too late, but maybe you can think about it for the next event, if it's too late for this one.
Imagine if it rains!!! If our race is limited by laps, we're gonna race much more time than with a dry track. Since we're racing changeable weather now (it might rain), maybe the race should be time limited.
Just an idea, ok. :)
Cheers.
