With 100L of fuel, I am consistently doing 2:10 laps. With a bit more practice 2:09's are possible on a full tank. The best I seem to be able to squeeze out of the Marcos for Qualy is a 2:08. The BMW is faster and the Vette seems to be capable of some nice times around here as well. I doubt I'll be anywhere near the front of the GTS class with the Marcos at this track, but it is very fun to drive around here.

major appreciations for all who came out to play.... sorry about the north layout... one of these tests had to end in tears one day.... :wandersofftoscratchchin:

also; bloody love that escort :becky:

Totally forgot this event :wink2:. Did just some laps i know why i always love this track, one of the best track out there. Did 1:38.041 with a mistake in the second to last corner so 1:37 mid/ high is possible for me. tyres wear is crazy after 1 lap is the tyres are already 98%. Thats gonna be fun after 14 laps.

So guys sign up we need a full grid for this great track. :wink2:

Well, yesterday did a few laps at the practice server with my usual “ride”… There were there 2 illustrious adversaries too, it was fun and I found out I’m losing 2 secs a lap for them, the good news for me is that at that pace difference, I will be doing about 2 laps less overall so I will be less tired by race finish :D

Another thing I noticed (and many of you I’m sure too) is that after 15 to 20 laps there will be no difference between the front of the peloton and the end of it… cars, cars and cars going around since it is an about 2 minutes lap on a narrow circuit.

So this will be very different from what we have done so far… Paul Ricard had a lap about this time too, but the track was 2.5 times wider and with the start problems for some (2x DNS) only 18 or 19 racers started (different from over 35 we might have here).

Putting together all the GTS cars and even the difference how the cars handle within the GTP class in itself, there will be cars with very different turn speeds… in short, be careful, some cars (for instances in GTP) are very fast in the quick parts, but are really slow (when compared with cars in the same class) going around a few turns on the circuit.

It is a bit like in the Nord, the quickest cars in the GTP class go around the Nord in about 22 (DB9R, Storm for instances), they make up their time on the tight parts of the circuit. On other hand the Vette’s and the Vipper’s, who are about 2 secs slower overall, make up most of the time while going straight at the power hill.

So, unlike WTCC nowadays, here we will need cooperation to survive the event with something that resembles the starting car… as usual, from my part, I will not defend my position, but will keep my line together with my high top speed, so if possible, I (and everyone else’s) would like not to be bumped from an inside suicide overtaking maneuver from an overall quicker car but slower when going down the straights. Btw, narrow tracks don’t permit many race line fantasies… :wink2:
