Having fun is a good thing.
Respecting others is the next step.

We have clear rules of using real names on RD and no swearing.

And since I have not time to read all history I am calling a stop to this asap.
As said, if these rules cannot be met, leave.

The way I see it is the racing club is for fun, friendly racing where you get to know the people you race with and have a bit of a laugh (this is why the Friday mini in my opinion has lasted so long because it is pure fun and not serious, the mini fills up every week and has up to 20 people on TS, I don't think there is any other event which sees as many people on TS?) where as the leagues are for the more serious racing.

Now to me the names should be your real name or very close (I don't see anything wrong with something like Fergo or Bertie) but to me the mini chat thread just shows what a healthy community we have here at RD, it would be a real shame to ruin that.

Just my 2cents.

Guys I am really sorry, I had to go to work due to an emergency and had to attend to it and I just got back from it. Didnt think it would take that long. Anyways, hope you guys had a good race nonetheless. I did however had the opportunity to race a little with Mr. Dawes. So Warren how did you do? For me it was a little tough to control the cars during the brief practice session with you, you may have seen me spinning around ;).

Karim.

Thats exactly how it should be.
And I do know the Mini event is one of the best events here.

The part on real names is actually for us as admin very serious. We run this place in hoping to have a clean and fun race for everyone.
We, staff, agreed at some time to use real names only so the chance of wreckers it just that small step smaller.
One (of many) simple rules to respect imo.

Maybe its the way how this rules was expressed last Friday, maybe not.
Still we need to respect each other.

Yves setup once again the work of genius :good:,it instantly gave me front row style pace :D.

Lost out to Dan early on with his very nice pass :good:,then following him i noticed some very scary lag moments, close to disaster a couple of time there m8,it was Yves who started having some trouble early on letting me and Dan through,a lap or so later Dan got on the loud pedal a little early and lost the back end so i inherited the lead with Yves now recovered and fired up on my heels!!,he duly passed me,so i passed him straight back :D,so he passes me again and makes it stick better, until a lap or so later?,he loses the back end and i now have 6secs cushion, then i notice the gap time going mental!!.....i actually finish +2 laps on everyone but i see in spectate monitor all frozen juddering cars and no one can see my chat.....You Been Disco Lenno!! :(.
Such a great little event that i was enjoying a lot.
Thank You Yves and RD and all racers there tonight :good:.

Dan you are right. Racing Club has always been for fun time at the track and friendly. And as for the mini events on Friday's was never and is never intended to be shut down. So they are going nowhere and will always be here.

The only thing that we remind people is the rules that are in RD. If you put a nick in quote with your real name, maybe fine (an old nick that you used) (I personally used that a lot in the time when I was on TS, just to remind what my old funny nickname was)
but putting foul language that has the same text as porn does is not.

People who joined racing club accepted the rules to use real name in TS, games & forum and to always respect others. Simple as that.
So just remember that this is a family oriented place.

Good race (only did 1st one), but once again I was let down by my net connection.

Qualified 4th as the fastest Charger. Had a good start, got up to 3rd, then 2nd at the end of the 1st lap. 2 laps later got into the lead after Yves made a mistake at the 1st corner, but I then made a mistake at the first corner, dropping down to 5th. Made a couple more mistakes whilst avoiding hitting people under braking, dropped down to 6th after a spin. Had a good battle with Michael Hermann, who I eventually passed, but then spun and dropped down to 7th. Got up to 5th after Michael spun and finished there.

I'll be getting a stable net connection when I move out of my parents house after Christmas, so I'll start doing RD events then. Therefore, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone Merry Xmas!
