Just my method for this.

I shall get your positions for all 3 stages and take an average
Then I shall times it by either 1 if you took part in 3 stages 2 if you took part in 2 stages and 3 if you take part in only one...

Eg.

Player 1: 3rd, 4th, 1st = 2.66
Player 2: DNC, 1st 7th= 8
Player 3: 1st, DNC, DNC= 3
