RaceRoom Racing Experience WTCR 2018 Released

RaceRoom Racing Experience has returned from maintenance with seven new cars available to purchase.. the 2018 FIA WTCR is here!

We've heard plenty about these new cars on the build up to release, and now finally we have the opportunity to take them out on the virtual circuits in RaceRoom Racing Experience. Featuring seven brands of car from VW, Audi, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Hyundai, Honda and Seat, the new WTCR pack comes with 25 liveries and can be purchased from the RaceRoom Racing Experience store for £13.34, or individual cars can be purchased separately for £3.55.

Game:

• Added "Launch Control" key mapping. WTCR cars are currently the only cars featuring it.

Usually releasing alongside a game update, Sector3 have confirmed that on this occasion the regular update will likely appear late March or early September, leaving todays update with "just" the new DLC and a new "launch control" option that works with the new car set.

RaceRoom Racing Experience is a free to play racing simulation from Sector3 Studios.

Bit annoying when I just paid 15 quid for a pack, and the game won't start any more !

Yeah. My problem is that the car won't load in Practice and races won't load in Single Race in Singleplayer... but I've been able to test drive them in the Store.

The error will be fixed guys. I had the same problem when they overhauled the GT3's and other cars. A couple days later it worked. Which is why I am holding off until Saturday =o)

Great cars to drive! A lot of fun and really challenging to find grip with the fwd and really drive on the limit. Great to have the complete WTCR 2018 line-up!

And yes, the servers seems to be a bit busy. Just like every other major release . With a day or so everything will be just fine again .

My problem is not server side though. It’s a missing or bad file in the release code.

I got the update no problem.

I find it useful watching stuff before I buy something. Sadly, I didn't like the sounds, car and environmental sounds... Felt like my ears are gonna pop at some point. I didn't make it past the 10 minute mark and I quit.

I had an issue also - something - 20004 error - but I cleared the cache in Steam-settings-downloads, and restarted my pc and the update was downloaded again - and then it worked fine.

Setting up the game steering and video and what not is some of the best I have seen --if not the best. Driving the cars feels a lot like the old Race 07 game.

Well, the base game is free, you can test every single car in the game before buying for however long you like, so...try it yourself

I own all the R3E content and this is by far THE most fun I've had in R3E offline!

I usually run on around 107% AI difficulty, but tonight I deleted my adaptive AI file and ran a quick 5 min race at Hungaroring to give the adaptive AI a little 'training'.

I then set up a 15min race followed by a 20min reverse grid second race in the WTCR Seat and it's two of the best races I've had in R3E to date.

I agree that you should try out the cars in the store test before purchase, but I can't emphasise how impressed I am with the pack.

Awesome pack. All car have caracter. Great physics and certainly sound is top notch.
My fav is the Golf and the Honda.
The 308 is nice though.

I think the pack worth every penny.

Wow! This is so much fun. Bought the VW, took it to the Nürburgring (GP) and raced for 30 minutes. I'm soakung wet (sweat), with a big grin on my face. Just luv it! Absolutely recommended

Had money for just two cars now, so after deep thought I got the 308 and the Civic. Both are good cars, but I felt that the 308 is a bit nervous at the rear end, which is why I'll probably stick to the Honda for now.

The whole package is a bless and the price isn't that high, it practically brought me back to R3E after stopped playing it for a while.

I also came from Assetto Corsa, rF2, iracing, and pcars 2. Bought the full pack last week and haven’t touched the other sims. Most fun I’ve had racing AI in a long time, if not ever. Totally worth it IMO - especially if you like to drive a bit of everything.
