Rally - "Ageless Escort" - Mon 21st February & Tues 22nd February 2011

I have been thinking about joining in on the EUX session just to get a chance to do the rally all over again myself  It will only be for the fun of driving the Escort, if I am allowed to do so. Do I risk loosing out of the rally completely, or will my times today just be zeroed when the results are being made, since my first run is the one that counts?

realy enjoyed my return to RBR, even though i tested with the gravel mod so was a bit shocked to see stage 1 covered in snow and i had dry gravel tyres on, which gave absolutly no grip and i couldnt even drive of the line lol.
so i hope to be better prepared for the next event, and please can we have more of this car :D

Don't make me jealous, Ondrej :]. I joined for a re-run, but after very nice first 2 stages I made a mistake at the penultimate corner on Chird (experimented with carrying more speed through the corner) and ended up rolling it and calling for help. Then the terribly bad pacenotes at the start of Mineshaft got me, CFH'd, and lost all the motivation soon after that, gave up and left. Smashing the USB plug of the DFGT with a chair couple minutes earlier didn't help my mood either (gonna have to replace/resoldier that. I'm grumpy, I know :p).

I had really fun this time around aswell as the first. After a slow start with losing some time compared to yesterday on the first 3 stages I started to catch up, and after the final stage I had gone 31 sec faster than yesterday... It shows that practise actually does help :)

Congratulations Roy, yet another new winner in the Rally Club, great to see. :)
Well done Dariusz, another second mate, better get your finger out. Well done too to Troy, a very good debut, good to see our USA membership growing.

Very nice to see the Stage wins being spread around too, and good to see an Aussie win the Aussie Stage lol. :ups:

Looks like this car was very popular although it seems to be a love it or hate it car. I'm sure those who didn't enjoy it might find it very different with some practice though.

Thanks to Senad for his admin work and to everyone who joined. :thanks::thanks:

Grats Roy, Dariusz and Troy! Nice podium for your first event Troy, it was good chatting with you on TS.

I thought driving the car was like wrestling an oiled up grizzly bear. Powerful, unpredictable, and hard to get a handle on.

I really should have come up with a setup for it to match my driving style. Tons of understeer in the entry followed by massive oversteer in the exit was really frustrating me. Just could not get used to having to use throttle in the corner entry to get the car turned in like I wanted it. The a few mistakes got me flustered and it was all downhill from there. Oh well, practice and setup testing would go against my approach to the club rallies :)

Thanks to the organizers for getting me out of my comfort zone, it was a nice change of pace. :thumb:

Well done all drivers, not an easy car but tons of fun :). I feel like i've should have won this one with just a little bit of practice, i was loosing huge amout of time by just being too sideways into every corner but couldn't helped myself :D. And all of those spins and half-spins didn't helped either lol. Maybe next time.

Thx Warren & Senad, grats to Roy for the win & Troy for coming 3rd.
See you next week guys. :)

Oooh, seems like everyone should win that (seeing the comments). I openly admit I shouldn't :)P), as I simply screwed and there is no going back :]. Congrats to Roy for keeping it together. On the SS1 & SS2 in EUX I was able to keep up with you (at least), so I shall do my best to give you a run for your money come next time in RWD machinery :).

Cheers for a great rally, Warren. Looking forward to whatever you're cooking next.

Holy crap I got 3rd!!! I seriously had no idea how I would stack up, that's so amazing. Kinda kicking myself for errors in SS6 and SS8, if I didn't drop time I think my times would have won, but oh well. This car is a blast, I wouldn't hesitate to run them again.

Thank You for putting this on Warren, and congrats to Roy and Dariusz for the podium spots.

Congrats to the podium finishers and thanks to the organizers for putting it all together. Troy, way to represent US! I hope to join you guys on teamSpeak next time. It was nice to see in real time how I compared. What a blast!

Congrats to Roy, Dariusz and Troy!

sure thing that car can give you a fun time with a fast time or a fun time with a slow time meaning enjoyable time!

and please re-upload the image again because its un-viewable or it is just in my case?

Thanks again to the organizers!
