Rally - English Escort - Monday 1st & Tuesday 2nd August 2011

Congratulations to Jeremy, notching up another win.
Well done to Rick and Troy for the podium, clearly you three guys love this car.

Overall, despite this car being a bit tricky to get used to, the results are surprisingly close, only 7 secs in the win, and the top 6 drivers within one minute, much closer than usual.

A couple of nice results for Gerben and Dudo too, some good consistent driving there. :thumb:

Big welcome to Gerben, Jack, and Ross who joined for their first Club Rally. :welcome:

This car proved once again to be very popular, despite being very different to drive. We'll definitely be using it again in the future. It does take some getting used to though, if you want to get the best out of it.

Sorry to those who found the Stages a bit repetitive and boring, but that was intentional, I just wanted to have the focus totally on the car this time and to make it a bit easier for drivers to get accustomed to it. :yin-yang:

Again, thanks to Senad for his Admin work and to Norman for his nifty systems work behind the scenes. :thanks:

The Rally Club has a break next week for Round 2 of the RDRC, good luck all.

BTW, I haven't had too much inspiration for the next Club Rally yet, so any ideas are welcome. I may bring back the classic REX (Subaru Impreza 95) soon if I don't get anything better. :ups:

Well, that wasn't a smart move. If anyone had an idea for the next rally, they'll probably keep it to themselves now, so we can drive that brilliant car again

EDIT: crap, I will be wheelless (or is it single l?) then, put up something bad!

I broke my power supply to my G25 with 10min to race....had an extra 1..omg. Fun car, had to wear my leather motorcycle gloves to get a grip on this out of control car. 1 broken winshield, then I just listen to the guy next to me 110% cause I can't see and I only race in driver seat camera and also I didn't assign a change view key or know default???

Thanx all for a great rally, tho i have to credit my win to the Engineirs on this 1, providing me with a nice driving setup.
also congrads to Rick and Troy for keeping it a very close rally til the end.

So when are we adding the Historic RWD class to RDRC?

Now that would be a class id like to join :D

for next rally Warren how about the Toyota celica GT4 ST205 in japan and australia stages all bad weather!

Congrats to Jeremy, Rick and Troy, wd all :)

Next time the RWD honor is my :D. I should have gone a bit quicker but 25sec of the lead in not bad for 0 practice and default setup :).

Thx for setting it up and see y at RDRC r.2 next week :)

Well, I still want a sprint-rally style club rally. With very short stages, more than once. And maybe a light nimble little car fits for that.

It might be more loading compared to the time driving that usual, but in theory it should be intense. Not much to gain, but very much to loose.

Missed the first 4 stages due to trying to fix my road car (success) so joined for the last 4 stages, but with it being my first rally, and with so little time to practice (i only had the chance to run the stages twice beforehand in dry conditions) once i made a mistake, more followed! Eventually i decided to just 'entertain the crowd' (occasionally running them over too) and went flat-out for a bit, which then led to my retirement from ss7 & 8!

Overall, i'm glad i've got everything sorted with my rsrbr installation and hope to be back for more in future- hopefully with more manageable cars! Thanks to Nigel for getting me up and running too!

P.s.- how do you adjust steering lock 'in-game'? I'm using 450 for my wheel at the mo
