DiRT Rally Rally shifter

What do the modern cars use for gear changes? I tried to watch some vids and I'm sure I didn't any hands move off the wheel indicating they're using paddles. Can anyone confirm please cheers

Paddle shift like most modern racing cars Jim. Look about 2:00 minute mark.

Earlier cars like the Kit cars were a sequential stick shift box.

I am 100% sure that the R4 cars do not use clutch when they shift. As they basically are Group N cars with bigger restrictor, and the N4 cars used dogbox.
I guess they have a clutch for getting off the line but once rolling they dont use it? Perhaps only for downshifts? Isn't it common to clutch on downshifts even if you have a dogbox?

I'd love to use clutch in Dirt Rally for added immersion, but since I don't have a proper handbrake I have bound my clutch pedal to handbrake, works decently, when I don't forget about it and start heel/toeing and slam the handbrake when clutching :p But then again that mostly happens at hairpins anyways so it's mostly good :p

I think they are using clutch for low gears. However it's adviced to use clutch for upshifting when wheels are slipping. This is especially for FWD and RWD, no matter if it's seq. ignition cut gearbox or not.
