Random game freezes

Since a couple of dayas I experience random game freezes.
It only happens online, never offline.
It's not bound to a certain car or track but it seems like it does not happen on some servers while always does on others.
The game will just freeze (video and audio stuck) but it feels like the FFB is continueing to work.
Sometimes it'll come back for a few secs but ultimately I have to shut it down.
I never had any issues before nor does any other game.
It seems this could be happening since the latest update to 1.5.4

Any ideas? Anyone experienced something similar?

i experienced not completely freezing but fps drops from like 100-60 fps to 20-25 fps an i know its cause i didnt dusting my pc for half year now and temps are so high right now i can even smell dust from my pc melting xD so i would tell yo first to check temps wit core temp, then if yo notice yo cpu thermathrottling yo shoul undust yo pc an even put new thermal paste on cpu. thats my issue for sure, i was racing last time in acc at monza an i get 1 drop like that per lap, it go like first drop mid 10 % lap, then 20%, and then it go to last chicane at monza just before last straight an i crashed there cause my fps drop suddently xD i told my self ill clean it tomorrow but too lazy xD

ACC is most thermalthrottling game for me during day, like every lap it drops fps, in pc2 it like evry 3 laps and in ac it every 10 mins or never depending on air temp in my room. so check yo cpu temps problem may be just too much dust under yo pc. if not this i cant help, maybe wait for update

Thanks, I don't think that's the issue for me, temps are ok and system is liquid cooled, no throtteling happening. And it is really stuck when that happens, have to force quit it.

Just to add, I'm running this on:
Intel i7-8700K
GeForce GTX 1080 Ti (11G)
16 Gigs of RAM
installed on an SSD
