RBR car stalls during handbrake turns

As l apply the handbrake to take the turn, braking, changing down gears the car slides and then seems to just stall in 1st or 2nd gear, no forward motion. l have to select neutral, rev the engine and then select 1st before the car will move again. very annoying. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

The handbrake is stalling the engine. Press the clutch when handbraking on tarmac in slow turns to keep engine revs up.
