Download RBRCIT again from ly-racing instead of
the official github page (or overwrite RBRCIT.ini with the "current RBRCIT.ini" as indicated):
Deutsche Virtuelle Rallye Plattform / German Virtual Rally Platform
www.ly-racing.de
The problem lies in an oudated carList.ini link in RBRCIT.ini pointing to dropbox. So, depending on where you download the (theoretically) same 1.0.6 package from, you have a working RBRCIT or not. An the the broken RBRCIT is the official one! (though the source code is updated
as you can check, it's just there is no updated release .zip). All in all, it's a bit messy. No wonder so many people prefer RBR pro.
I used to run RSRBR and download vehicles and tracks seperately from
https://rbrplus.blogspot.com/ . Should I just do that?
About NGP cars: To keep updated on NGP cars, once you have a working RBRCIT, just click "update carList.ini" anytime you want to check if new cars are available and they will show up inmediately. For example, today I just saw on RBRplus that the Toyota TCT had been released. On the RBRCIT status line at the bottom I had "total cars: 77". Clicked update carlist.ini and the number changed to 78. Sure enough, the Toyota TCT was added under Group B. At the moment you have to revise the list to check where the new car(s) are, or review the NGP downloads changelog in the ly-racing.de link I posted above.
Also worth pointing out: The cars and plugins in RBRCIT are updated against the official NGP releases (ly-racing.de), not against the currently active
plugins/cars physics revisions on the CZ page. There is no problem if you just add a new car. For example, the Celica TCT, I can drive it offline. I cannot drive it online until CZ adds it too but I can drive any other car. However, if you "update NGP", before CZ does, you won't be able to join any rally. Similar issue could occur with the affected cars of a "download>update all existing physics"
In other words, if you want to rally online at CZ you have to use their versions, that may not be the latest ones (they try to keep current, though). Just keep that in mind.
