Rule Changes 8/12-16. 05:05 GMT+2

Together with the announcement of consoles, we have some clarifications and tweaks to the rules as well.

Rule 6.3 – Team Composition (Cannot have a team with cars from different classes)
A team may consist of drivers with different cars, however, both cars must be within the same class.

A driver may leave a team, or be removed from a team upon request if they fail to show up for two consecutive rallies.

(Added Rule) 6.4 – Points Allocation for teams
The teams will score with the same allocation as outline in rule 7.3 However, teams will score points inside their own class, and be combined to an overall team championship.

Rule 7.2 – Bonus Cups (Removal of 4WD+ Cup)
Bonus Cups will be awarded within the RDRC for Season 8 to the highest placed driver in their respective points table for that category.
4WD- Cup, 2WD+ Cup and 2WD- Cup
In the case of a class-removal due to few sign-ups, the Cup will also be removed.

Also, to avoid any misunderstandings, the top 10 overall each rally, score points toward the overall championship.

4th – 58
5th – 50
6th – 44

8th – 32
9th - 28
10th – 24
11th – 20
12th - 18

17th - 8
18th - 6
19th - 4
20th – 2

7.4 – Halving the points (Changing numbers of drivers to start before halving points)

In the situation that a class has 10 or less starters in a rally, that class will only score halved amount of points for that rally.
There will be no exceptions to this rule.

Decision regarding RaceNet issues for Rally Germany
After looking at the time that it took for Codemasters to fix the issue against the issues it would be with a new event (as there are no way to prolong an already started event), we in the RDRC-Crew have decided not to make a new session at the end of this one. This means that Rally Germany will be held at the original times, with no extensions. We are aware that this will create issues for some drivers, but no matter what decision that would've been taken, someone would've lost out. There were a multitude of reasons for this.
  • We would have no way of controlling who had saved, but have no time to do the rally late this week and who had crashed and retired, and gets a second chance out of it.
  • For people only having 1 or 2 days a week to do RDRC, and these being Wed and Thur, would not have had these days anyway, as we would not extended for more time than the issues lasted
  • We thought about cancelling the rally, and start over again. That would be unfair against the ones that already have finished the event (or done half without issues)
We are sorry for any issues that this causes, but the additional problems of an extension are deemed as far larger than the problems already made by Codemasters.

Rule Changes 03/05-17 23:20 GMT+2

(added rule) 14 - Dead Heat
In the case of a dead heat in the championship (equal amount of points after all rallies are finished) the order will be decided as following:
a) Number of 1st places, if that is the same, the number of 2nd places, if that is the same the number of 3rd and so on, until a winner emerges.
If this fails to produce a winner it will be decided on
b) The number of rallies participated(highest number will be placed ahead),
if this is the same amount it will be decided on
c) The result of the last rally.

Round 4 - Finland, Team Points changes.
18/5-17 23:17 GMT+2

While compiling the results and points from Rally Wales, we noticed a bug in the software we use for sorting out points positions, team scoring etc. As a DNF automatically meant no points for the drivers, we didn't think much of it in Finland, as it wasn't as easy to spot, but in Wales, with 2WD+ having so few finishers, we realized that while the drivers got zero points. The teams however, did get points for the positions listed, even though it said DNF and the driver got zero.
After we looked through the results from Finland, there is only one team affected by this, and that is Team Kiaby, who originally had 66 points from Finland, but as the team only had one driver that finished, and that driver scored 58 points, they shouldn't have more than 58 either.
This have been fixed for the final results, and Team Kiaby now have 58 points for Finland, instead of the original 66.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.
