feel like the little boy at the end of this !
this is a gentleman's league and it's expected that everyone behave that way.
The inverse is also true, lack of patience will penalised and ultimately cost you more than a single place. You might find yourself behind a car that is slower in terms of lap time but hard to overtake, which can be frustrating at times, but patience will be rewarded in the end.
In R2, I got a decent start, was slowly (very slowly) reeling in the cars in front, when Jacob got a good tow off me down the back straight in his Escort. He went to my inside at the approach to the chicane, and looking right I never saw his nose, but he also wasn't in my mirrors. I stayed left expecting him to appear, but he didn't and suddenly appeared in my rear view mirror (graciously and prudently conceding the corner for safety - Nicely done Jacob), which surprised me. Unfortunately, instead of watching the road I was watching him, and I got a nasty jump off the left hand kerb, throwing me into the wall, again hurting the steering (in a 911 vs wall collision,...) All my fault, just annoying that because of that I only got a total of about 8 laps of racing last night.
Well Warren, my english isn't that great, but I take it this is a polite Aussie way of saying "FFS people stop using my car for target practice and find a way AROUND if you're cocky enough to think you can overtake me!" ..or something similar??Overall, after this event, I'm now starting to regret choosing the Shelby.....
..... clearly it will become a source of frustration to the other more nimble cars in the League, especially since I have to brake so much earlier and take the tight turns much slower. I know it's limitations and will drive accordingly, but it could be difficult for the other drivers around me to adapt to.
Reminds me of someone who got tapped around at least half a dozen times driving a Pantera in last seasons league, it's REALLY wide, with slightly inadeqate brakes but more than adequate V8 grunt... MUHAHAHAHA. Driving people behind me nuts sometimes and LOVING it...
