As we head down the road to Le Mans, RaceDepartment take a look at the RDLMS by Vesaro and get excited about our first 24 hour race of the season....

RaceDepartment does sim racing, has done for the past 12 years and if we don't mind saying it ourselves we do a pretty good job.. never more so than in our flagship racing series the legendary RaceDepartment Le Mans Series by Vesaro, now heading stronger than ever into it's seventh season of competition this year.

We've grown up as a community over the last decade or so, and RDLMS has grown up with us. Migrating from the venerable rFactor simulation software to the latest and greatest from Image Space Incorporated & Studio 397, RDLMS by Vesaro has never in it's illustrious history provided such a realistic and demanding challenge as it will during the 2017 season. Because we are living in a golden age of sim racing we are lucky enough to be able to call upon the brilliant features from within rFactor 2 for this season, including day to night transition, real time weather, dynamic racing surfaces, driver swaps, 6, 12 and 24 hour racing and of course those simply astounding physics that lurk under the hood of this powerful racing simulation.

Throw into the pot some quality first and third party content in the form of an incredibility attractive line-up of circuits and the great Enduracers Endurance Series V1.50 modification, plus a massive field of top level sim racing drivers and teams all fighting for the honour of being crowned series champion and in with a chance of winning brilliant gear from our amazing prize pool thanks to series partners Vesaro and Thrustmaster, then you have the ingredients for something rather special indeed...

Round One of the 2017 RDLMS by Vesaro was a fantastic spectacle of endurance racing at Interlargos, with some superb driving on display in both Prototype and GT classes as the field of drivers tackled 12 gruelling hours of competition on one of the finest Grand Prix circuits in the world.

Not wanted to be outdone by the opening race event, the whole field excelled themselves for round two at Silverstone as the early season jitters were well and truly banished and the form book was once again thrown out of the window at Silverstone. Another six hours of fantastic racing at the home of the British Grand Prix brought to a conclusion the most exciting race of the season to date.

Now with 18 hours worth of on track racing behind the drivers it all comes down to the ultimate test.. Le Mans and the 24 hour race!

So who are the key competitors for this event, what teams are sporting a special livery for the race and who should we be looking out for when the green flag drops? Thanks to the artistic wizardry of our very own @alexSchmurtz you can see all the cars and drivers for this big endurance spectacular in the spotter guides for round three below:
