Guys, I am having some trouble, it seems like I took a wrong template as you can see below. I have other templates, and could start again, but how do I know which one is the correct one?

Daniel Monteiro You might have the correct template, but I guess you have rotated the template when you made the car? Have you remembered to rotate it back to it's original position?

Ole Marius Myrvold, I never rotated it, no. And I opened all the other templates and they all look alike (but different than the one i used), and i opened the original .dds from the game files and it matches all those other templates... looks like i picked the only wrong one! Or is there a way to make other templates work?
Also, to confirm, the files have to be saved in DXT5 interpolated alpha, and generate mip maps, right?

Body skins are usually DXT 1 and generate 6 mipmaps in my experience. Windows are DXT 5.

Thanks Ross. tried the DXT1 instead but the problem persists, so it seems i have to start again... damn

Daniel Monteiro There has been 2 different versions of the Evo 9 during the years in RBR, it looks to me that you have the template of the first one.

This should be the correct one

Yep, i downloaded that one now, it is the same as the .dds from the game folder (Hanninen's 52 car). The original skin from rsrbr (Hanninen's 52 car) rteally looks sweet, but the template is way simpler, especially when it comes to the shadows. I might be being picky right now, but it does look much better with proper template

Copy the Fiesta_S2000_2 folder in the zip file to RBR/Cars/ and overwrite the files there.

Best practice to make a backup of the Fiesta_S2000_2 folder in RBR/Cars/ first.
