Hey guys, I’m interested in replacing the pedal plates (if that’s what you call them) with a set made for real cars and was wondering as a lot of them are curved front and back is there any way to attached them to either the flat block that the standard pedals are screwed to or the flat attachment the D shaped ones are attached to? Does someone perhaps have an adapter to make this easy? Or an easy DIY solution that works well?

Your best bet would be to 3D print some adapters, and use a metal backing plate to keep the adapters in compression. Failing that, carve some hard balsa, again with a backing plate

I don’t have a 3D printer but any chance anyone has a 3D file for an adapter in case I can get it printed, I know someone who has one.

This spanish guy installed real pads and he said no modifications nor extra parts were needed:

Oh thanks man, the bolt heads look a little off but didn’t think it would work that well, I did look at those particular pads too though I think I’ll be going for something else, just got to get something with the right size counter sunk holes.

Nothing in particular but I just want something that looks more the part, I’m getting my first sim rig and just want to get a few other bits and pieces to put the icing on the cake so to speak. I’m also looking at real steering wheel rims to attach to the Fanatec Universal Hub as I want something bigger than the Fanatec 270mm rim I had with it.

The stock pads are nice, not very good looking but who cares? The flat throttle looks more like a road sports car pedal than a race car, but it's very comfortable. The rest of flat pads are terrible, very uncomfortable. I don't understand why they made it that way. In my case I wanted left foot braking, so a bigger brake pedal pad with some offset to the left was the solution.

No it’s two I believe, there’s a number of different versions of each set, this is the Corsa set for the clutch and accelerator he used:

And then the brake is the automatic version of the Sparco Settanta set.
I don’t know why he used that brake though as there is a matching version of the Corsa set in automatic for the wider brake pedal, I can only assume it’s because it is hard to find.

Well, I bought a set of the Sparco Piuma and they came today, unfortunately as most sites don’t mention the hole dimensions and spacing including the manufacturer I could only guess by looking and this pair has a 1.5cm spacing not the 2cm’s that the Fanatec has so I can only get 1 screw in, I don’t know yet if I’ll get any rotation but it’s not ideal.
I just came across a guy on the ISR forum that made a 3D printing model for an adapter to do this kind of thing but he didn’t make it available or at least didn’t mention it there, anyone know if he has an account here or if anyone has done similar, his name is SteveS.
