Renault to stop supplying engines to other

Renault will stop supplying engines to Formula 1 teams as soon as possible.

Carlos Ghosn, Renault's chairman and chief executive officer, also hinted the company's relationship with Red Bull is likely to end this year.

Ghosn said: "We have already alerted the F1 authorities and told them: 'Don't count on us as a provider of an engine - it's over.'"

Bye Bye !

You have got to admit though you don't get much thanks from the fizzy pop boys even when your winning. Better off out of it or at least their own team. Even when they produced the mighty V10's for Williams & Benetton they never really got any recognition.

On a similar vein I had a little competition at work to see who could tell me what brands are attached to what teams, now these are people who watch F1 every race but I would not say they are die hard fans. I don't think anyone of them got one right some of the ones I asked were.

Petrobras
Blackberry
Johnnie Walker (thought someone would get that)
Microsoft Dynamics

F1 is obviously works wonders for brand awareness.
